Melasma :

Melasma is a common pigmentation disorder that causes brown or gray patches on the face which become more pronounced after sun exposure. It can also affect neck, fore arms and shoulders.

Melasma is thought to be primarily related to genetic predisposition, sun exposure, hormonal changes(pregnancy, use of birth control pills)
